Stephen Ludlam
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer | MSc, Ceng, FIMechE
 
Mr Ludlam was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ASC in January 2010. Prior to joining ASC, Mr Ludlam spent 34 years at Rolls Royce where he held a number of senior roles within the company, including President - Submarines UK.
 

Tony Kuhlmann
General Manager – Commercial and Legal | General Counsel | Company Secretary | BA, LLB, GDLP
 
Mr Kuhlmann joined ASC in 2002 and is the head of the Commercial and Legal department with responsibility for contracts, insurance, risk, legal, communications and corporate governance.  Previously, Mr Kuhlmann was a partner at Finlaysons, a leading Adelaide commercial law firm, where he practised as a commercial lawyer for 12 years.


Vladimir Malcik 
Chief Financial Officer | MBA, Grad. Dip (Finance), B.Bus, FCPA 
 
Mr Malcik was appointed Chief Financial Officer in July 2005.  Before joining ASC, Mr Malcik held roles within a number of high profile companies, including Lend Lease/Retirement By Design, Hilton Hotels Corporation and Suncorp.
 

Brian Archer
General Manager – Human Resources | Dip (Education)
 
Mr Archer was appointed as the head of ASC’s Human Resources department in September 2005.  Mr Archer came to ASC with strong human resources (HR) and industrial relations (IR) experience in Australia and the United States.  He has worked in senior HR/IR roles for a number of high profile companies, including Pratt Industries (US), Visy Paper and Tenix.
 

Stuart Whiley 
Chief Operating Officer – Collins Class Submarines | BSc, FIE Aust, CPEng, MAIPM MPD
 
Mr Whiley joined ASC in 1989 and is currently responsible for all aspects of the company's support of the Collins Class submarines. He has more than 25 years of engineering experience in the Australian and United Kingdom naval defence industries.
 

 
John Gallacher
Chief Executive Officer – ASC Shipbuilding
 
Mr Gallacher joined ASC in 2004 to lead ASC’s surface shipbuilding business.  He is responsible for ASC’s shipbuilding involvement in the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer Program. Previously, Mr Gallacher was the Managing Director of the Australian businesses of the Stork Group, a Netherlands-based technology company.



Jack Atkinson 
General Manager – Future Projects | BE, MEngSci, FIAust, CPEng
 
Mr Atkinson has been with ASC for 16 years and oversees the company's future projects, including work associated with Future Submarine.  Mr Atkinson has over 32 years of engineering experience within the defence industry having previously worked for the Department of Defence.



Andrew Keough CSC
WorkSmart Program Manager | MBA, BSc
 
Mr Keough joined ASC in 2009 and is responsible for transforming the business and implementing lean principles through ASC's WorkSmart program. Prior to joining ASC, Mr Keough served in the Royal Australian Navy for 22 years, which included command of HMAS Waller (1999-2000) and HMAS Sheean (2004-2005).
 


Mike Poynter
Engineering and Design Manager | BE
 
Mr Poynter joined ASC in 1988 and is currently the Engineering and Design Manager for the Collins Class submarines. He has significant experience with ASC, having previously been the head of ASC's Western Australian operations and was responsible for defect investigation, maintenance and repair on submarine systems, the Submarine Training School and the development of ASC's facility at Henderson.
 
 

 
Doug Callow 
General Manager - AWD Alliance - Operations | BSc, MSc, FIEAust, CPEng

Mr Callow joined ASC in December 1992 as the General Manager of Submarine and Business Systems. Since that time he has held a number of roles across both of ASC's Collins Class submarine and Hobart Class destroyer programs, and is currently General Manager of the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance - Operations. More than 40 years experience in the naval industry - having previously worked for Vickers Shipbuilding & Engineering Ltd in the UK - complements a broad insight into the company's operations.
 
 


Robert Lemonius
General Manager - ASC Shipbuilding| Commonwealth Centenary Medal 2003
 
Mr Lemonius joined ASC in 1990 and manages all day-to-day operational activities within ASC Shipbuilding. Previously, he was ASC's General Manager - Western Australia Operations, and he has over 40 years of experience in the submarine and shipbuilding industry, including management positions with Cockatoo Dockyard before joining ASC.

 


Hans Wicklander
General Manager - Deep Blue Tech
 
 Mr Wicklander joined ASC in 2005 and has been the General Manager of Deep Blue Tech since its incorporation. Prior to joining ASC, Mr Wicklander served 23 years in the Royal Swedish Navy, where his roles included head of the Scandinavian Viking submarine program.
